Built to Change the Structure.

Bridge Philanthropic Consulting is the largest Black-owned full-service social impact and fundraising firm in the world. Founded to address structural inequity within the philanthropic advisory sector, BPC combines campaign execution expertise with systemic capital analysis.

Our Philosophy

Equity as Capital Design Principle

We do not approach equity as a programmatic add-on. We approach it as a capital design principle. With billions raised and decades of institutional leadership, BPC operates at the intersection of governance, capital strategy, and equity transformation.

We understand both the mechanics of fundraising and the power dynamics that shape capital access. Few firms can claim both.

Founder & CEO, Bridge Philanthropic Consulting

Dwayne Ashley

Dwayne Ashley is a global social impact leader and the Founder and CEO of Bridge Philanthropic Consulting (BPC), the largest Black-owned full-service fundraising and advisory firm in the world. As BPC celebrates more than 10 years in business, the firm has firmly established itself as a Global Social Impact Powerhouse—cementing its sustainability, scale, and influence across the philanthropic sector.

Dwayne founded BPC to address the lack of representation and equity within philanthropic consulting and has since built the firm into a premier strategic partner for institutions seeking transformational growth, capital expansion, and long-term financial strength. Under his leadership, BPC has redefined campaign strategy through its signature framework rooted in Capital Architecture, Capital Justice, Structural Alignment, Power Governance, Capital Concentration, Revenue Resilience, Equity Design, and Long-Term Wealth Strategy.

With more than 35 years of experience, Dwayne has helped raise billions of dollars to advance nonprofits, healthcare systems, educational institutions, cultural organizations, faith-based entities, and social justice initiatives. His advisory model goes beyond traditional fundraising to design scalable capital systems, strengthen governance structures, align executive leadership, and build institutional wealth designed to endure across generations.

He is widely recognized for constructing sustainable capital frameworks that secure not only campaign success, but institutional durability. His leadership philosophy centers on building organizations that are structurally aligned, equity-driven, and strategically positioned to leverage power and capital at the highest levels.

Dwayne serves on the board of The Giving Institute—the trade association for fundraising firms—where BPC became the first Black-founded and owned firm admitted to membership. He also serves on the board of the Association of African American Development Officers (AADO) and has been a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) for more than 35 years. A lifetime member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity and an active supporter of 100 Black Men of America, he remains deeply committed to mentorship and expanding access to opportunity within the philanthropic profession.

Dwayne has received hundreds of awards recognizing his leadership and impact, including an honorary doctorate from the University of the District of Columbia. He is a highly sought-after speaker and lecturer, the author of five award-winning books and hundreds of published articles, and a dedicated mentor to emerging leaders across the global philanthropic and social impact sectors.

Having traveled to more than 100 countries, Dwayne brings a global lens to philanthropy, understanding how capital, culture, and community intersect to drive meaningful and lasting impact.

Authoritative.

As the largest Black-owned full-service firm in the sector, BPC brings unmatched expertise and structural insight. State as fact. Not pitch.

Diverse Philanthropic Organizations

Association of Black Foundation Executives

(ABFE) is a membership-based philanthropic organization that advocates for responsive and transformative investments in Black communities. Partnering with foundations, nonprofits and individuals, ABFE provides its members with professional development and technical assistance resources that further the philanthropic sector’s connection and responsiveness to issues of equality. Established in 1971 as the Association of Black Foundation Executives, the all-volunteer organization was credited with many of philanthropy’s early gains in broad representation. It since has evolved into a fully staffed, influential network. In 2013, the organization shed its descriptor and adopted the simpler ABFE (ab-fee) to better reflect its broadening membership.
