PURPOSE WITH HEART

I recently went to Karol G’s restaurant for the third time in Medellín, Colombia. The food, the ambiance, and service were +10. Moreover, you feel her spirit throughout the experience — the opportunities she has created for emerging artists to perform, and the staff and team that run the place embody her commitment to economic opportunities and the arts. The BPC team prides itself on staying informed about pop culture and the social impact work celebrities, athletes, and influencers are doing to drive global change. Karol G, born Carolina Giraldo Navarro, is turning personal values into lasting community investment. In 2022, she founded the Con Cora Foundation to support women and girls, close gender gaps, and expand meaningful opportunities.

The name reflects her guiding idea, “con cora,” or “with heart,” inspired by the values her mother taught her. The foundation works through four pillars:

Programs include scholarships for teen mothers through Fundación Juanfe, educational support for incarcerated women, and STEM opportunities through Geek Girls LatAm.

SAFETY, LEADERSHIP, AND OPPORTUNITY

Con Cora connects resources with the realities communities face every day. Its Mujer Segura campaign addresses gender based violence at concerts by providing information, professional guidance, and referral pathways.

In New York, the Latina PWR for Leadership program, delivered with LatinoJustice, supports Latina immigrant women from September 2025 through July 2026 with mentoring, legal training, and leadership development.

The foundation also works directly with communities. In La Guajira, it is strengthening Wayuu schools, basic services, food security, and family support. Along Colombia’s Atrato River in Chocó, it is supporting women leaders connected to COCOMACIA.

CAPITAL THAT RESPONDS

Karol G demonstrates how public influence can mobilize practical support. Con Cora has coordinated earthquake relief in Colombia and Venezuela, matching fan donations and helping provide food, medical supplies, shelter, and psychological support.

The foundation also rebuilt the flood-damaged Colegio Arenys de Mar in Medellín, creating safer classrooms, technology spaces, bathrooms, and recreation areas for more than 600 students.

A MOVEMENT BUILT TO GROW

Con Cora Land, the Miami benefit gala featuring Alicia Keys, shows how culture can expand charitable participation. Through music, philanthropy, partnerships, and direct community work, Karol G continues building a model that invites fans, institutions, and local leaders into shared action.

Billboard recognized this commitment with its 2023 Spirit of Hope Award.
